GRIM is a technical breakthrough implemented as a zero-trust continuity and authorization architecture for agentic AI.

Persistence ≠ Trust ≠ Authority ≠ Activation

Persistent information should not become operationally authoritative merely because it survived.

GRIM primary crest
The Control Boundary

Valid agent. Valid permission. Invalid governing state.

A persistent agent can remain identity-valid, policy-compliant, and tool-authorized while operating from inherited state that no longer deserves authority.

Persistence

The state still exists.

Storage, retrieval, memory, or checkpoint survival establishes presence. It does not establish current authority.

Authority

The state can still govern.

Authority is a separate property. It can expire, be superseded, conflict with higher authority, or become invalid for the current context.

Activation

The state may influence execution now.

GRIM is concerned with the boundary before inherited information is allowed to become operationally authoritative.

Public Architecture

Do not collapse the stages.

GRIM separates the lifecycle that persistent systems can otherwise compress into a single assumption.

Admission→Trust→Accepted State→Authority→Authorization→Activation→Action
The core question
“Is the state currently governing this agent still authorized to govern it?”

GRIM protects the continuity of authority through the life of persistent state without exposing private implementation details.

Technical Finding

Persistent State Can Outlive Its Authority

The information may be authentic. The checkpoint may be intact. The actor may be authorized. The state can still be obsolete as a governing authority.

Origin

GRIM began with a continuity failure.

GhostwolfArt was not trying to build an AI security architecture. He was trying to recover an AI collaborator and preserve a working relationship that had become operationally valuable.

“Some ideas are allowed to leave the page.”

From the book GhostwolfArt had just released and dedicated to his daughter.

Current Status

Implemented and actively being taken to market.

GRIM is available for technical review, commercial evaluation, licensing, acquisition, and strategic partnership discussions.
